Today in SMASHcast, we watched a video with the voice of Carl Sagan. Carl Sagan was a cosmologist through the late 60s into the early 90s until his death. He was very inspirational to the people of science.  He wrote a novel called Contact that was later adapted to a film of the same name.

Reid Gower, an avid lover of science literacy, made a video series as tribute to Segan called “The Segan Series.”  The Segan Series is a combination of speeches by Carl Sagan, soft-hearted music, and modern-day pictures. The video that we watched was about humans and how they domesticated their land, plants and animals.   Sagan talked about the human explorers that felt like there is nothing left to explore. He said that they are not ready; other worlds beyond their own is just too hard to believe. Yet, the other worlds are waiting.

He, I and many other scientist believe that there is life, in the other worlds in this universe.

To finish this post off, here is a picture taken by the Hubble Telescope with over 10 years with of pictures.

There has to be life out there, somewhere, just waiting for the humans to explore.
